York City Council will be voting on the Lawrence Allen Revitalzation Plan this Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. This is a plan to add another 20,000 plus new residents to the area. I want to ask you to vote against the City’s proposal for the redevelopment of Lawrence Heights which will be voted on at North York City Council this coming Tuesday, June 22. This project will adversely affect a large part of the City, unless significant changes are made. Everyone travelling on major streets like Bathurst, Lawrence or Dufferin will face even slower traffic. While I support revitalization, such a high density increase in population will cause problems for everyone.
