Horav Shlomo Miller’s Shlit’a opinion is that one must wait for reciting Kiddush before breaking the fast. One may not even drink water before Kiddush. Some make Kiddush right away and sing Sholom Aleichem and Eishes Chayil during the meal. Rabbi A.
